La Petite
Romade is a small hamlet in the Charente-Maritime
region of south-west France. In a beautiful rural
setting, it’s less than 30 minutes from the
beaches of Royan
and the famous Cognac
region, 10 minutes from the historical Roman town
of Saintes
and less than an hour from La
Rochelle and the premier vineyards of Bordeaux
. The region benefits from a micro-climate making
it the second sunniest region of France after the
Cote d’Azur.

With
the help of local artisans, we have restored stone buildings
dating back from the 18th century to create two luxuriously
converted gites. These have all the character of old stone
walls and original wooden beams, combined with the comforts
and mod cons that will make your stay here all the more
pleasurable. These lie within 2 acres of fully enclosed
gardens, which include a play/picnic area as well as a
large swimming pool/sunbathing area. |

| So
if you are thinking of holidaying in France, taking a
break from the rat race or hunting for that dream property,
whether you wish to soak up the sunshine by the pool or
the beach, enjoy the fabulous food and wine of the area,
play golf, cycle or walk, we think you’ve found
the right place. |
